Finishing Off Your Look
You decided on the style and color of your tuxedo, now it’s time to consider how to finish off your look! Your tuxedo rental includes a jacket, trousers, shirt, tie and vest and shoes.
Here are some accessories that will make you look debonair of the most important day of your life.
Vest
Wearing a vest with a tuxedo is highly formal, and will give you that sophisticated look. Men with a larger midsection will find a vest more flattering and comfortable option. The vest color and material should be simple. The color scheme for these accessories should compliment each other or be monochromatic.
Shirt, Studs and Cufflinks
Your tuxedo ensemble includes studs and cufflinks. Above each shirt button there is a small hole where the stud goes. Place the first stud at the second button from the top of the shirt. To insert the stud, push the small colored side through the hole until it appears next to the original button. Apply a stud to each button hole going down the shirt until all 5 studs are in the shirt.
Pocket Squares
Wearing a pocket square with your tuxedo is a sure way to differentiate yourself from everyone else. Pocket squares, portray a sense of luxury and class. Generally, its best to wear a white pocket square in the presidential or flat fold or the conservative puff fold. If you are wearing a boutonniere it is not recommended you wear a pocket square as it will detract from the look!
Shoes
You’ll need to rent formal shoes as it will definitely finish off your look! The patent leather, Oxford is elegant and stylish! The plain leather Monaco in Brown is a great choice for Navy Tuxedos.
